This night 25 years ago I became a parent for the first time. Many of you know that feeling and can relate. My baby now lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and I don't get to see him on his birthday. My heart is a little sad, but okay. He's a responsible adult living on his own and that makes me proud. He just too far away for hugs. I was holding my new granddaughter and that takes away some of the sting. The cycle of life goes on -- speaking of cycles, circles, ovals -- I'm ready for some racin!! Can't wait for Daytona and am countin' the days. Have a great evening and stay warm. We're trying, but I think the cold is winning. Brrrrr! Hugs ~ Denise

Our son Nathan and his girlfriend (soon to be fiance') Amy came home from Texas, our daughter Brooke and Michael were also here for Christmas, and then Brooke had her baby on December 28. Michayla Lynn arrived at 6:11 pm, weighing 7 pounds 15 ounces, and 20 1/2 inches long. Mother, daddy, and baby doing very well! Michayla is beautiful and I hope to post pics soon. Just wanted to let you know that with the season ending, and the holidays upon us, I may not be on here as often as I would normally. This is my busiest time of year, and we are helping our daughter get ready for our first grandchild--a girl! Also, I'm so fed up with the way things have been going on the track lately, and the ESPN reporters, that I'm kind of waiting for 2008, Jr.'s new ride, and FOX!!!
