ABOUT ME
Introduction
I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this, but I am banned from watching Kevin race. Not even one lap. Why, you ask? Because I'm a jinx.
For example...We had the Duels running on a tv in the conference room at KHI. Liz was watching it, and I went in there to watch a little bit of it with her. When I walked in, she said, "Kevin's been
running really good." She took a phone call, and I started paying attention to the race. The next thing I know, Liz - still on the phone - is frantically pointing to me, to the tv, to the door. Over
and over again. I was like, What? She hung up the phone and screamed, "Get out, you jinx! His engine is toast!" I had been in the room for two minutes, and he went from running really good, to not
running at all.
Now, for as bad of a jinx as I am to him...I am also a good-luck charm. Every time I'm prom dress shopping on raceday, Kevin wins. On Saturday, there I was, prom-dress shopping with Whitney. I get a
text-message on my phone from Liz..."KH just won the Busch race." So I text back, "And I'm prom dress shopping. Go me!" THEN, he wins the 500. Yeah, that's right. And he forgot to thank me in Victory
Lane. Again.
So after all of that, I've officially been banned from watching races until further notice. But I also think that I should be given a company account to go shopping with. Don't you agree?
