Introduction
I have loved racing for as long as I can remember - in fact I fantasized about being a Joie Chitwood driver every summer after seeing them at the local fair But then school started again and
back to reality. Oh, if only I learned how to do donuts in my 73 Chevy Impala A girl can dream. LOL! Racing wasn't as huge as it is now, so the highlights were watching the Daytona 500 and
Indy 500 (hey, they still are). In recent years, I got hooked on Nascar. Dale Jarrett was my first driver pick, but that bright orange car with the good boy/bad boy driver quickly got my
attention. Plus he was driving my lucky number 20.
So Smoke became my favorite giving me much enjoyment following him throughout the seasons. Love that he can drive the wheels off anything - either on pavement or dirt. Also love Elliott Sadler
(love that southern accent and charm)
and Boris Said (love that afro and underdog mentality!).
I like a driver that actually has a personality.
Went to my first Nascar race 2 years ago at Watkins Glen courtesy of one of my very best friends - tickets were a birthday gift. My friend was not a race fan - only watched a few laps, but had to
listen to my incessant ramblings of how great racing is (... and Tony... and Elliott LOL!). So she was a trooper and went along for me. By the end of the weekend she was hooked and in love with
Boris Said.
My hobbies
Ahh, made it through another off season. A new year, a new manufacturer, new series name, new teammate, new hair, .... a lot to get used to! LOL!
But 2008 is starting off great. Congratulations to Tony and the JGR crew for both the pole and Nationwide win in Daytona!!!!
Woo hoo! Win number two!

Nationwide Win #3... first win at Talladega!!!!! Got the pole, too!
And Nationwide win #4.... Darlington!!! Tony finally charms the Lady in Black!
What a difference a year makes...
Last year...

Last year...
This year a teammate...
Let's hope Elliott Sadler has a better year than last. I'm happy about his new sponsors. Sorry, but the Dodge UAW Dealers Dawdge was mighty boring.
The Candy Man's Can - Watkins Glen 2006 - last ride in the 38
Happy to hear Boris will have a few rides in 2008. Would be nice if he found a full time sponsor. He adds fun and class to the series.
Kudos to Junior for starting this online community.
My favorite music:
Bruce Springsteen, Josh Ritter, Jamie Cullum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton.
Also enjoy photography and techie geeks (working in the IT field, you'd think I'd want to avoid them! LOL!)
Thanks for EVERYTHING on Friday...especially hanging out with me until 1 a.m. That's a tradition now. LOL (You poor thing. Once you arrive, I won't let you escape.)
