Let me start this post by saying this is a rumor only. No public statement has been made to this effect. I'm posting this so you guys know whats being said, if'in its true or not who knows. I'm not saying this and I'm not saying its true either, its a rumor round NC (started on the internet of course).
Tony to move to RCR in 09. Tony to run a GM sponsored car at RCR and Havick to start his own team in 09.
If its true or not theres enough BS going round about it that someone needs to say something one way or the other.

Thats some rumor. I can see Tony maybe moving to RCR but Harvick starting his own team. True or not that could make for an interesting start to 09.

If you dig a little deeper this all makes sense. GM already sponsors Havicks team and if they want to put up the money I can see this happening. Everyone would be happy in this deal. You have to consider also that Chevy sponsors Tonys Eldora track. They have a good relationship and you dont have to think to hard to see why they want him in a Chevy.
Jayski.com hinted at this a few weeks ago if you read back.
Speculation is thier could be a press release about this before the end of the year.

Can't wait to see if the rumors are true. I can see Tony going back to Chevy, I don't think he was real happy about going to Toyota in the first place.

Guess Tony didn't like the diet of white rice Toyota had him on to fit in those Camry's.I thought Tony's diet was those big subway subs.

He He...I said back when JGR made the announcement of the Toyota mess that Tony has an opt out clause in his contract, and didnt see him staying without Chevy for long....if ever!!
Just remember..we still have heard nothing, nada, zilch about him signing his contract for 2008...
He said he was waiting until after the Chase.....
We shall see......

I just dont see Tony leaving Gibbs after all they have done for him. I still believe he will stay with JGR until he decides to retire or Zippy decides to retire. Sounds to me like someone is trying to get everyone pumped up during the off season. I still cant believe that hardly anyone has any faith in JGR's engine builders. Mark was one of the designers of the new chevy motor (or thats what I've been told), I really dont think he'll have a problem figuring out what to do with the Toyota engine.

I SINCERELY HOPE THIS IS TRUE. TONY NEEDS TO STAY IN A CHEVY!!! MAYBE IF TONY DOES MOVE OVER TO RCR,HE CAN POSSIBLY TRY TO GET THE # 20.
