first of all i am glad the new season is underway. was good to see some track action after a long cold winter. after getting a few hours sleep here are my impressions of the race
I thought going in that it was Juniors race to lose and lose it he did, when it comes down to crunch time the crew chief needes to take charge, missing the pit stop and staying out on new tires cost him the race, Tony Eury needed to tell the spotters to shut up and make the calls, Jr had a good race but it should have been better
the first 450 miles were boring with very little racing going on, if it were't for the two mystery yellows a good portion of the field would have been a lap down, it reminded me of races 30 years ago with a few cars dominating.....nascar needs to take a long hard look at the way this race unfolded
the last 20 laps were exciting to be sure but there were far too many yellows and the race never did develop a rythem, they are lucky that there wasn't a huge crash with that many cars jammed up together
just my opinions

I think if Kyle hadnt put his tires under the line on the last restart either Kyle or JR would have won.

I think he would have been able to give Stewart the push he was looking for.

I disagree with you. I do not think that the car jr had was as good as other cars dominating the field. I think it was a top ten finish for sure, but it was missing something else.

I dont think Jr had the car to win the race but he did his best. Tony JR has to take charge and tell JR and whoever to shut up though because maybe maybe with fresh tires he would have had a better finish eventhough he did need a teammate or someone there to help him.

the lack of a teammate at the end would have probably kept him from winning but i think that if he had gotten the fresh tires he would hav e been able to stay out of that pack and had a better chance to go for the win, it looked to me that Kyle Bush had the best car at the end but he also got cought up in the pack with no help
