The Intimidator Dale Earnhardt's Record at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Most wins :___9 _____Dale Earnhardt
Most Top 5s:__ 26 ____Dale Earnhardt
Avg. finish:__ 9.5___ Dale Earnhardt

Bruton Smith changed a lot when he purchased Atlanta
International Raceway on Oct. 23, 1990, and renamed the
facility Atlanta Motor Speedway. A year later, the addition
of the East Turn Grandstand expanded the seating capacity by
25,000, and the 30 suites that rimmed the top gave the track
a high-class look.

In 2006, more than 13,000 seats were added with the building
of Winners Grandstand in Turn 1, as well as new luxury seating
called Club One and the East Turn grandstand was renamed the
Elliott grandstand. Additionally, more than 90 motorcoach
parking spaces were added along the backstretch, strengthening
the fan-centric atmosphere of Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The Toyota Tundra will make its ninth NCTS start at Atlanta Motor
Speedway this weekend. In eight previous starts at the track,
Tundra drivers have combined for three victories including the
spring races in 2006 (Todd Bodine), 2007 (Mike Skinner) and 2008
(Busch). Earlier this year, Busch led 39 of 130 laps for the win
at Atlanta, driving the No. 51 Tundra for Billy Ballew Motorsports.

Johnny Benson, driver of the No. 23 Bill Davis Racing Tundra won
the NCTS race at Martinsville Saturday after passing race-leader
and championship foe Ron Hornaday, Jr. with 46 laps to go. He
held off all challengers to make his first victory lane visit
at Martinsville's "Paper Clip".

Founded in 1986, Memphis Motorsports Park is located just
minutes from Graceland and world-famous Beale Street in
Memphis"Home of the Blues, Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll.
"The multi-track facility includes a three-quarter-mile
NASCAR oval, a one-quarter-mile NHRA championship drag strip,
a 1.77-mile road course and more than 400 acres that host
more than 200 events and 550,000 racers and race fans each year.
The race can be seen on ESPN Classic/3 p.m Eastern Time.
The race is also supposed to be simulcast on Speed.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend

A year after Martinsville Speedway opened in 1947, NASCAR was formed.
NASCAR began operation in 1948 and Martinsville Speedway ran its first
NASCAR race on July 4th of that year. In 1949, Martinsville ran the
sixth race in the series that eventually became the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

At slightly more than half a mile, Martinsville Speedway is the shortest
track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Circuit, but it's one of the biggest when
it comes to action. It has 800-foot straights, turns banked at only 12
degrees and has been called "two drag strips with a turnaround on each
end." The demanding layout consistently produces some of the wildest
fender scrubbing, push and shove racing of the year.

Martinsville Speedway opened in 1947 with 750 seats and has grown
continuously over the years. But, other than being paved in 1955,
the track configuration has not changed.

Richard Petty, now a car owner, remains the track's
leading winner with 15 victories.

They’re $2 a piece and they come wrapped in wax paper.A couple of years ago,
soon after International Speedway Corp. bought the track from the family of
the late Clay Earles, who had founded it, we got here one Friday and something
had changed The hot dogs were being served in little foam boxes. You got them
pretty much plain and had to go apply your own condiments. And they weren’t
quite red enough. It was, quite frankly, an outrage.

Eddie Wood, co-owner of the Wood Brothers team from nearby Stuart, Va.,
was fighting mad about it. He found NASCAR president Mike Helton and
demanded things be put back the way they were. Immediately. Before long,
word of the crisis got back to hot dog connoisseur Bill France Jr.
and phone calls were immediately made. This was serious business.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend the Talladega Track has to be one of my
favorite,Bristol being another one.

Talladega Superspeedway is located in Talladega, Alabama,
United States. It was constructed in the 1960s in place of
abandoned airport runways by International Speedway Corporation,
a business controlled by NASCAR's founding France family along
with Daytona International Speedway and several other racetracks.
At 2.66 miles long, Talladega is the largest oval track in the
Sprint Cup Series and has seating provisions for over 175,000 patrons.

In the 2000 season, Earnhardt had a resurgence,He scored what many
considered the 2 most exciting wins of the year - winning by .006
seconds over Bobby Labonte at Atlanta, then gaining seventeen
positions in the final four laps to win at Talladega, claiming
his only No Bull million dollar bonus.

The Craftsman Truck Series race is 250 miles (94 laps) and the
ARCA race, was shortened to 300 miles in 1998, and to 250 miles
in 2006 when it was moved to Friday.

Have a great weekend

I saw Georgia get beat by Bama so I'm sure you're pi$$ed, but it seems the top 10 have been all over the map. Anyway, I thought I'd connect with you-- I am sorry it's been so long but it's been so hectic and difficult to get any time for just about anything. Hit me back if you get a chance. Take care...

Hello my friend !!!

Since 2004, the race has served as the opening round of the
"Chase for the Sprint Cup", a ten-race "playoff" designed
among the top ten (twelve as of 2007) drivers in the standings
of the series following the Chevy Rock and Roll 400.

The 2001 fall race, originally scheduled for September 16, 2001,
was postponed due to the 9/11 terror attacks. Not wanting to cancel
the event outright, NASCAR decided to reschedule the race to the next
available date, November 23, 2001, the day after Thanksgiving. The race
had Robby Gordon, driving the #31 Lowe's Chevrolet for Richard Childress
Racing, win his first ever race in NASCAR.

Have a great weekend.

Hello my friend its time for Bristol Night Racing.

Bristol is a legendary short track with a larger than life reputation.
A lot of things make it unique, the high banks, all the grandstands
surrounding the track, it sounds different than any other track. It
is just a very special place. You realize it as soon as you step foot
in the place. You definitely know that you are at Bristol. Some tracks
you go to and it is just another intermediate track with no real
character to it.

In case you've ever wondered why Bristol Motor Speedway packs more
than 150,000 fans into a half-mile racetrack on a steamy Saturday
night in August, you only have to look at a pair of "tag, you're it"
incidents between Terry Labonte and Dale Earnhardt under the lights
to understand a little of the intensity.

In both 1995 and 1999, it was a hard-charging Earnhardt who rammed
leader Labonte's rear bumper on the final lap. In the first instance,
Labonte somehow skidded across the finish line first to win. In the
second, it was Earnhardt who wound up in Victory Lane amid a chorus
of boos, adding another chapter to his legend as the Intimidator.

And it led to one of Earnhardt's greatest post-race quotes:
"I wanted to rattle his cage."

The last time Sprint Cup visited Bristol RCR finished 1st,2nd and 3rd.
With Jeff Burton in 1st, Kevin Harvick in 2nd and Clint Bowyer in 3rd.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend, well we are getting closer to the chase.
Here are the winners in points paying races to date.

With its wide banked turns and multiple grooves, Michigan
International Speedway has a reputation for some great
side-by-side racing. In fact, the first NASCAR event there
in 1969 resulted in a last-lap battle between Cale Yarborough
and LeeRoy Yarbrough, with Cale winning.

But that combination can also result in a lack of caution flags.
On three occasions, a Michigan race has gone the entire 400-mile
distance without a break, the most recent coming in Dale Jarrett's
dominating 1999 victory.

Hello my friend
Have a great weekend
Watkins Glen is one of only two road courses on the NASCAR Cup
schedule, and its also one of only two stops on the schedule where
drivers have to make a right hand turn,in other words they go clockwise.
The 2.45 mile racing circuit is very fast, twisting and challenging
turns all with variable banking that ranges from 6 to 10 degrees.
The frontstretch is a downhill plunge to a hard right hander,
shortly followed by a charge uphill through a series of esses
and out onto the long backstretch.

NASCAR weekend at the Glen received a double shot-Zippo Manufacturing
announced a three year extension of the Nationwide Series race, the
Zippo 200.The Sprint Cup series is now known as The Centurion Boats
at the Glen, another multi-year deal that goes through 2009.

And lets not forget the truck race on the speed channel tonight.

Hello my friend

The Allstate 400 at The Brickyard, introduced as the Brickyard 400
in 1994, is an annual 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup points race held
at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. The event,
when first held in 1994, marked the first race other than the
Indianapolis 500 to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
since 1916. Since the inaugural race, the Allstate 400 has become
NASCAR's most-attended event, drawing an estimated crowd of more
than 250,000 fans annually. It also has become NASCAR's second
highest paying race in dollars (behind the Daytona 500).

The term "Brickyard" is in reference to the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway's nickname. The course was paved in brick in 1909, and
they remain under the asphalt pavement to this day, with 3 feet
for the entire width of the track at the start/finish line.

Several NASCAR teams were invited to a one-day test session
at the speedway by track president Tony George in 1993, and
the inaugural Brickyard 400 was held one year later. In 1994.
Which Jeff Gordon won and Dale Earnhardt won in 1995

There are 14 races left in this 2008 Nationwide Series season,
but we could possibly know who the champion will be when the
checkered flag flies Saturday in the Kroger 200 at O'Reilly
Raceway Park.In seven of the past 11 the winner at ORP has
gone on to win the series title that same season.

While Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the most popular racetrack
in the Hoosier State, the vast majority of motorsports events
held in Indianapolis are held at O'Reilly Raceway Park,
including a NW Series race and a Craftsman Truck race.

Hello my friend

The 2008 LifeLock.com 400 will be the nineteenth race of the
2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, and the final race under the TNT
coverage for the year. It will be held on July 12 of this year
at Chicagoland Speedway as the race moves to a night time event
for the first time in the event's history. In 2007 it was announced
that the 2008 race would become a night race after being held as
a day time race for the past 7 years.

Jimmie Johnson was the first NASCAR driver to visit Victory
Lane at Chicagoland after winning a Busch Series race on
July 14, 2001. A day later, Kevin Harvick won the speedway's
first Cup event.

Introduced in 2001 to the NASCAR circuit as the Tropicana 400,
the LifeLock.com 400 is a relatively new race. It has seen five
different winners in its first six years, with Kevin Harvick
and Tony Stewart being the only repeat winners.

On September 25, 2007 speedway officials announced the installation
of lights for the 2008 season. With this new addition to the 1.5-mile
D-shaped oval,Chicagoland Speedway will become only the tenth Sprint
Cup facility able to hold night racing.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend
On November 2, 2007, a change in ownership was announced.
Bruton Smith, owner of Speedway Motorsports, Inc., announced
their purchase of NHIS for $340 million cash. The name of
the speedway changed to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Both
of its Sprint Cup dates will remain for the 2008 season.

The Lenox Industrial Tools 301 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
stock car race held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in
Loudon, New Hampshire. Organizers added an extra lap starting
in 2008 to signal the fact that the title sponsor, Lenox
Industrial Tools, "is looking for users and suppliers of
industrial tools that go the extra mile, whose jobs are
physically demanding, day after day, and still find time
to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way.
The race has been dubbed The Extra Mile at the Magic Mile.

NASCAR's Nationwide Series takes center stage at New Hampshire
Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 28 for the Camping
World 200. Always a top event on the circuit.

Memphis Motorsports Park will flip the switch Saturday night
on enough horsepower and star power to light up the night when
the track hosts the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200.
In a first-time promotion, Memphis Motorsports Park and the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series are rewarding four lucky race
fans with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be Honorary Pit
Crew Members this Saturday at the O’Reilly 200.

Have a great weekend

held at Infineon Raceway. This race is one of the only two
Sprint Cup races each year that is run on a non-oval track,
with 12 turns over the 1.99 mile track. Due to its unique
layout, it creates a discussion each time it comes, with
people both in favor and against racing this race.It was
held for the first time in 1989.

In the 1991 race, the first car to cross the finish line,
Ricky Rudd, was black flagged and penalized five seconds
for running into the back of, and spinning out Davey
Allison with a little over one lap to go. The controversial
penalty relegated him to second place, and gave Davey Allison the victory.

Since 1903, The Milwaukee Mile has been one of the premier
venues in American motorsports. It is the oldest operating
motor speedway in the world, as the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway began contesting events in 1911.

On July 3, 1993, the NASCAR Bush/NW Series returned to
Milwaukee. The event was won by Steve Grissom. In 1996
Wisconsin native Dick Trickle was passed with four laps
to go by Buckshot Jones. Five drivers that won the NASCAR
Bush/NW Series race at Milwaukee went on to win the Busch/NW Series
championship in the same year(Steve Grissom-1993,Randy LaJoie-1997,
Dale Earnhardt Jr-1998,Jeff Green-2000,Greg Biffle-2002)

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series began racing at Milwaukee
in its inaugural season in 1995. Mike Skinner won the event.
The 1996 event featured 17 lead changes. The CTS has returned
every season since 1995. Two drivers have the distinction of
having won both a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and a
NASCAR Busch/NW Series race at Milwaukee. Ron Hornaday won
in Truck race in 1996 and the Busch/NW race in 2004, while
Greg Biffle won the Truck race in 1999 and the Busch/NW race
in 2001 and 2002.The track was resurfaced after the 1995 season.
