ABOUT ME

Introduction Obviously I am a huge NASCAR fan, thanks to my sister! If you couldn't tell Kasey Kahne is my fave driver and I like too many others to pick #2. I am also a HUGE Bon Jovi fan. They put on the best concert I have ever seen(and I have seen a lot!). I am proud to work for the new sponsor Nationwide Insurance, and I also sell Tastefully Simple gourmet food products. I am in school working on my bachelor's degree in communications. My faith in Jesus, my family and my friends are the most important things in the world to me. If I had to describe myself in one word it would be loyal. or passionate. I can't decide which! Now that my sister has gotten me hooked on this site, I look forward to making lots of new friends! My hobbies First and foremost, I love to watch NASCAR racing!! Anytime, anyplace. I also love to read, workout(well ok I don't really LOVE that but I do enjoy it), shopping, cooking, hanging out with
friends, concerts(especially Bon Jovi), sleeping, church activities, watching F*R*I*E*N*D*S (could I be any more addicted to that show?). If I could have 1 day to do whatever I wanted, I would
spend it in Charlotte visiting all the race shops and LMS. Well....maybe. Given the opportunity I might spend it at a Bon Jovi show smiley

And he is already making plans to make it happen...see the look on his face?? I would like to wish all drivers a safe and eventful race at Homestead on Sunday. My friend Diana (Mattyk) is helping me once again post to all of my friends as it is still a little trying for me to do it myself. I have lost a total of 113 pounds so far and I am hanging in there. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and their encouragement and I hope you continue to offer them. They mean so much to me. My family's support along with the kindness from all of my IP friends is what keeps me going. This season was an interesting one to say the least...but I am very, very proud of Kasey and all of his accomplishments and I know that 2009 will be even better for him and his team. So, GO KASEY!!!!

The phone rang at 0630 to alert me to a new baby and I fell back asleep until I got a call at 7 -- then I COULDN'T fall back asleep. UGH. What a waste of a wonderful Saturday morning!! Saturday mornings are made for sleeping in. And I had a productive day cleaning parts of the house that I had neglected being online so much (shhhh don't tell the DH that I admitted that!) We had friends come over last night for an impromptu Rock Band concert and the playroom was absolutely EMBARASSING -- but I'm ready now for our next jam session (I didn't really jam... I was comedy relief on the drums!) Hope you had a good day.

Just try and stay rested and focused so other things don't slide. Everything is going good here. Just getting things ready to have a college football tailgating weekend at Auburn. They play LSU and it has become a big rivalry. Some of our friends from LA is coming over and we have a camper and hotel rooms so we are making a full weekend of it! But, thank goodness, my famous hurricane shoes helped me out and all I got was a little wind. I have been in contact with many of our IP friends as well as several members of my family, and all seem to be okay. FEMA has come in and is helping them with generators and water and food. Prayers should still go out to those in need. BTW...I am sorry I have been missing around here again. When I can't post....I just quit and try again later. I have only been trying to keep up with returning comments to those who comment to me. And let me say thanks to all of you who have been doing that. I hope it gets better soon. After a vacation to Texas (my son got engaged!) and some major home improvements, and some illnesses, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I never miss the racing, but if KB is close to winning we turn it off and don't watch any of the follow up programs either. We got a little disgusted this year with the KB hype, but now that the Chase is on, we are there rooting for Jr. and hope he does well. I hope all is well with you. Have a great week. I know Thursday will be a long day for me, but Im not all that worried about it. I think someone will have a drink ready for me by the time I get to the hotel...that and I finally get to meet the rest of you!!! I am trying to fill my day here waiting for tonights race. Down here there is a huge State Fair going on but its too pricey anymore to go there. We used to go on Labor Day cause there is an ARCA race. Every year Tony Stewart and Ken Schrader would race, but since they moved the Labor Day weekend race from Darlington to a night deal at Fontana, the NASCAR drivers dont come anymore. Schrader still does usually but I dont think he is there this year.

Things have been changing with me lately....I have lost a total of 75 pounds and the doctors are very pleased. The only thing they are not happy about is that with the weight loss, my blood pressure and heart rate should also be lower, and they aren't. I have an appointment with with the doctor in Birmingham next Tuesday morning to discuss this problem and see what can be done next to help it. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers...I'm not out of the woods yet. I appreciate each and everyone of my friends here on Infield Parking and consider each and everyone of you a part of my family. It was VERY nice to wake up and this be humpday for the week to just be on movin on!!! Work has kept me fairly busy (which isn't bad for making the week fly). Oh Heaven's no, I haven't started to pack...I just barely went shopping last night for jeans and will go tonight for toiletries and stuffs (and dog food for the pups while I'm away)...finally worked on my list and Deb and I compared them - need to print it out so I can check things off as they go in the suitcase...haven't even pulled it out...LOL I must be too use to travelling for me to not even have that open and ready - but it's still for another 5 1/2 days before I board the plane, so I'm ok - I haven't even started piling things up... Here's to the rest of the week flying - I know mine will with drinks/dinner tomorrow night with Brandon (yes Deb Brad's brother) and HH with my co-workers on Friday and then hopefully some driving time in the hill country with a friend and his son (Deb, don't read anything more into that except that it's David and his son; and David wants to have some wind therapy - can't blame a person for that can ya!!!) Of course even if David doesn't go - some drive time in the hill country. I sure hope you're laughing right now with all my extra remarks to my sister - but they have.to.be.done!!! LOL
