My hobbies Trying to get a HOT pass (make that a hot, cold or garage pass!) -- ok not really-- but that Pit Pass just whets the appetite to see more! Actually my primary "hobby" would be scrapbooking -- but lately I've spent more time watching NASCAR than scrapbooking. Think I need to work on that.

I had a great thanksgiving,and it was a busy weekend as well. Friday was my sister's birthday,and my oldest niece danced at event called festival of trees. She danced saturday afternoon as well,and it was nice to see her dance solo and her dance duet. She did very well and i was a very proud Aunt. I went shopping and got some pretty decorations for my tree,and my sister gave me some decorations for my house that she does not use anymore, so all i have to do is get everything decorated. Woke up this morning to 3 inches of snow on the ground,and it pretty much snowed all the way home.

Don't tell anybody...shhhhhh....I was already in my lounge wear (jammies) and ready for bed when my friend, Carolyn, snapped this shot!! I hope no one notices...lol. Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I can't understand why you don't get your company to help you put up the decorations, at least outside....have a decorating party!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!! You'll get it done quicker and have fun at the same time. It's a little cool out there today so serve them hot chocolate or apple cider. Hmmmmm....that sounds so good. My family is still all here and tomorrow we are meeting my photographer friend down on the river walk again for family portraits. I hope we can catch all of them with a smile and their eyes open all at the same time...lol. You know me...I'll be smiling big...always do! Have a good weekend my friend and tell Reese I said Yo! Of course, I started posting this afternoon and it was going fast...I got the first page done and then it all came to a stand still....again. I just don't understand this site. I am going to start it up again now at 10:30 and see what happens. It was slow signing in so I am not looking forward to this...lol. I have a friend coming over (lady) on Thursday and we are going to have a meal together and watch a little TV. She is redoing her home....the outside is done and now she is fixing to take the carpet up and put wood floors down. She has her furniture in storage including her TV...so she is looking forward to just sitting around watching mine...lol. I'll also be doing some baking for the next day. On Friday, my other son and his family will be coming in and we will be meeting over at my other son's house.....more room for the kids to roam!! They have 5 acres. They built a fort the last time they were down....so I'm sure they will resume their play...lol. I just hope the weather cooperates. Supposed to maybe get some rain. Have a really great holiday my good friend and big hugs to all.

Gotta slow down I guess. That will be my early New Year's resolution...lol. It seems like forever since I last posted to all of my friends...it has been over a week. I apologize to all of my IP friends for the disappearance. I promise to do better in the future if this site cooperates with me...lol. I have missed each and everyone of you. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your friends and family and be safe. If you have a chance to put up your Christmas decorations this weekend....please take pictures of them and send them to me so that I can put them on my site for all to see. And he is already making plans to make it happen...see the look on his face?? I would like to wish all drivers a safe and eventful race at Homestead on Sunday. My friend Diana (Mattyk) is helping me once again post to all of my friends as it is still a little trying for me to do it myself. I have lost a total of 113 pounds so far and I am hanging in there. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and their encouragement and I hope you continue to offer them. They mean so much to me. My family's support along with the kindness from all of my IP friends is what keeps me going. This season was an interesting one to say the least...but I am very, very proud of Kasey and all of his accomplishments and I know that 2009 will be even better for him and his team. So, GO KASEY!!!!

My special thanks to Jeff Garvin, photographer for TSRS (Texas Super Racing Series) and who also covers TMS occasionally for Nascar. Matt's car pic was taken at the recent TMS race this fall. Well, another season has come and will soon be gone, but hopefully all of you will still be gathering right here on IP during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Valentine holidays to share your family and personal news with us!! Before we know it....Season 2009 will begin and we'll be back at it!!! Yea!!! Good luck to all of the drivers this weekend and........

Actually, it my zodiac symbol (not sign) for scorpio, but it looks like an "M" so it's Matt's good luck charm too. lol This was Cindy's (follown26) birthday present to me when I visited her in Florida recently....by the way...we had a ball!! The beach was absolutely beautiful so I thought I would share some pics with you about the trip too.... The white sandy beaches were just breathtaking and I really enjoyed sinking my feet down into them while Cindy just looked on saying..."Tourists"!!!!!!!!!! lol We went to this really neat shopping area that had a Bass Pro Shop in it and we couldn't resist a "Kodak" moment with the hanging shark....again, Cindy said... "Tourists"!!!! lol Cindy has been my friend for two years now and we have talked on the phone everyday since we first met....but this is the first time we had ever met. She was a gracious hostess and I love her to pieces. The last picture is just to show you the clear, blue and green water that is there and to show you Fred...see the pelican just to the left of my head??? The subject matter for the pic wasn't me...it was him...lol. He never moved an inch the whole time we were taking pictures...lol. All in all, Cindy and I had a wonderful time and I hated to leave...don't tell her!! lol Now, back to the Race Day talk.....good luck to all of the drivers in Phoenix and of course.....GO MATT!!
