ABOUT ME
Introduction I'm a relatively new fan to the sport... Started watching it mid-2006 and found it to be very addicting! At the beginning, I could barely name 5 different drivers... now I drive my husband crazy by shooting off a random bit of trivia I've discovered along the way. To say I'm obsessed is just scratching the surface. I was at Infineon in June for the Saturday practice & Grand National West race, my first NASCAR experience! Hearing and experiencing the cars in real life makes the TV events pale by comparison. I'm planning on hitting at least a couple races in 08.
Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth are my 2 favorite drivers... and its pretty equal on 'favorite' for the both of them. Gotta love the 07 and the 17! I like a lot of other drivers too (Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton to name a few), but Bowyer and Kenseth are the ones you will see me cheering like a madwoman for.
Watching Clint's progress in 2007 was phenomenal. Placing 3rd behind the HMS boys and being the only one who had a fighting chance to win for several races... after starting 12th in the Chase... OUTSTANDING! Next season... LOOK OUT!!
By day I'm a Pixel Jockey for a local publishing company... that means I spend about 90% of my time in Photoshop. Been doing a bit of photography too. Spent several years as a graphic designer before that, and even taught computer graphics for a couple years.
Happily married for 14 years. We share a lot of the same interests, but we're not 'joined at the hip'.
My hobbies I love fast cars, hot rods, kustoms, loud music, tattoos, Jack Daniel's and fire. Pinstriping, painting, welding, watching racing that involves 4 wheels and a motor, Photoshop, and way too much
time on the internet. And this rust bucket:
Yes, that's a 1950 Buick Riviera. My husband has done a marvelous job of putting this heap
back together, now I'm trying to get the rust off the body. This will really test my welding/fabricating skills once I start putting in patch panels.
