We picked Tony Stewart for our cover subject, we deliberately chose a story angle that you wouldn’t read anywhere else. Of course, the big news about Stewart this month is Joe Gibbs Racing’s move to Toyota in 2008, but Monte Dutton gives you a more personal story in “Labor of Love.”
Stewart bought Eldora Speedway because he loves the old dirt track. He watched races there as a youngster and he raced there when he was coming up in the sport. He’s now determined to give a new generation of fans and drivers the same short track experience.
