I have dedicated my comments within our "IP" to have the ~NASCAR~ community help in the search for Madeleine McCann
********UPDATE:
Gerry and Kate McCann are working with the US's Amber ALERT system to pattern a more efficient EU ALERT system for missing children and for child safety in European Countries. I have been
following this story since June, 2007.
Each day, families of missing children are losing precious ~time~ of ~Love~ that they can never get back.
One day, I hope there will be an "AMBER" alert type system that will reach further into the ~world~.
~Thank~You~ for being a part of our life as we all continue to visit and comment in ~Our~Racing~World~ on IP : ))

REASON #88 to love NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACING

June 15, 2008
~~~~~~~JR WINS AT MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY~~~~~~~
Dale Jr. wins at Michigan: #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the LifeLock 400 at Michigan International Speedway for his 1st win of 2008.
The 2008 season marks Dale Jr.’s ninth in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition. Through 2007, the 32-year old native of Kannapolis, NC, has 17 victories, including the 2004 Daytona 500. His
17 victories rank him 39th on NASCAR’s all-time race winners list. He also has four “non-points” or all-star wins, and seven Bud Pole Awards.
Dale Jr. is the only third-generation NASCAR champion, achieved when he won the 1998 and 1999 Nationwide Series titles. He follows his legendary father, Dale Earnhardt, a seven-time Cup
champion and winner of 76 races. His grandfather Ralph Earnhardt was the 1956 NASCAR Sportsman Champion, and in 2007 was posthumously inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of
Fame. All together, the three Earnhardts account for 10 NASCAR championships.
that the first 26 are over and you're locked in and everything is great,
Jimmie Johnson, driver for Lowe's Racing, clinched their third back-to-back Sprint Cup Series championship by finishing 15th in Sunday's event at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Johnson is only the second driver in NASCAR's 60-year history to accomplish the 3-peat.
Cale Yarborough won the title from 1976 to 1978.
"I just don't have words to express how proud I am of this race team," said Johnson.
"I can't say enough how thankful I am of this opportunity to drive for Hendrick Motorsports,
the support of Lowe's, and to be with Chad (Knaus, his crew chief)
since the start of this deal in 2002.
Driving this race car is a great honor.
Friday night's Ford 200 Craftsman Truck Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway; a pair of calls in the pits earned Johnny Benson a seventh-place finish -- exactly what he needed
to secure the series championship. After pitting for four tires under caution on Lap 126, Ron Hornaday chased Benson to the stripe during a green-white-checkered-flag finish that took the
race three laps beyond its scheduled 134-lap distance. Hornaday came home eighth, one position behind Benson and one position short of his fourth series championship.
Hamilton speechless after dramatic "Championship" finale
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was almost lost for words after he took the 2008 drivers’ Championship by finishing fifth in Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix.
He secured the place on the final corner of the final lap of the final race of the season to finish the year with 98 points, one more than Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, who won the Interlagos
race.
"The most dramatic race of my whole life,” said Hamilton. “It’s pretty much impossible to put this into words: I’m still speechless. It’s been such a long journey, but I’ve always had the
support of my family, the team, our partners and the fans. We did a fantastic job throughout the whole year and, with all the sacrifices we made, I’m so thrilled to be able to win this for
everyone.”
