ABOUT ME

Introduction I'm a race fan that has been around for quite a while. I always wanted to be in the Indy 500 when I was little. While I was still in high school my Dad's best friend gave me the nickname of Kyle Petty b/c I wrecked alot and liked to go fast. (yes I've totaled several cars and had more than my share of speeding tickets.) My dream life (job) would be to be a race car driver. I've been to the Rolex 24 in Daytona twice and was LUCKY enough to be there in 2001 to see Dale Jr and his Daddy Dale Sr drive the #3 Corvette. That was the rainy year...2000 was the bitterly cold year. So much for Daytona being warm and nice weather in Feb. I grew up in the WNC mountains where my family still lives and runs the family apple orchard. If you ever go to Hendersonville to get apples you need to go see them. I teach 3rd grade reading and am in my 11th year teaching. You name it K-5 I've probably taught it in some way. Teaching the struggling readers makes you be thankful for knowing how to read without much effort and feel good that you help the kids * * * * *ally need you to show them how to do it. Yeah it's great to have the summers off, but the kids really make you feel good and make it worth your time. I'm the proud aunt of one awesome little girl...Leiann..my Little Bit...she is definately a Dale Jr and Dale Earnhardt fan. Her Daddy is a HUGE Earnhardt and Dale Jr fan.(Thank goodness.) She's the miracle baby that came to us that we didn't really expect to have.

My hobbies any sports, you name it I probably played it at one time volleyball, basketball, softball and track, ....NASCAR...or any racing---F1, IRL, CART, Busch, legends, etc...reading when I can find the time, may it be a Nicholas Sparks book, anything to do with history... or just relaxing

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you , individually, for being a part of Victory Lane Players Club. It is by far the most unique poker site anywhere, and caters to the race fans in ways at least I never imagined. VLP Club is growing daily, expanding, adding new tournaments, prizes, and opportunities for every player, regardless of account status, and the future looks very bright for this little site that started in Beta not all that long ago.

As many of you know, from the Beta days, there were times it was a long wait just to get enough players together for a game. Now, tournaments fill up easily all hours of the day and night. This is, in no small part, thanks to your efforts, your feedback, and your willingness to stick through all the little bumps along the way, to bring VLP Club to where it is today, and even greater things are on the horizon.

I knew this day would eventually come, but wasn’t quite expecting it to happen so soon. As a volunteer, operating the Infield Parking page and MySpace page for VLP Club has been both an honor and a privilege. I’ve enjoyed the dialogue, reading your ideas and suggestions, and passing them along to the staff at the Hickory, NC office. So, it’s with a heavy heart, but great expectations, that I hand over the pages to one of the new employees at VLP Club, and move over, so that you can get even better support, and better attention to your thoughts and ideas while on Infield Parking.

I would also like to take this opportunity to single out Sara Jaconelli, and Gillian Lindsay, of the office in Dundee, Scotland. Their job was to support the site and the players, and help get VLP Club off the ground. Through their monumental efforts, it has seen success that I’m sure was beyond expectations for the short life of the site. There from the first day of Beta, these women have nurtured the site, taken each and every opportunity to make us, as players, feel welcome, and to make sure we always knew our needs were important to VLP Club. So, as the Dundee office passes over all its duties to the USA team, I can’t express enough how much I appreciate all they’ve done, and I hope that you will all join me in sending along your thanks to them before their emails go offline near the end of the month. You can email them at either Sara, or Gillian, @vlpclub.net. I know they would love to hear from all of you. I can tell you they will miss you dearly.

Finally, I wish to thank Danielle Tyburski, and David Lavielle, for the opportunity to not just represent VLP Club here, but for the opportunity to do what I could to serve your needs as players. Now that the pages will be operated by an employee of VLP Club, your responses should be more timely, and the information much more accurate, as it will be coming directly from the VLP offices. Many of you I met in Miami, at the first VLP Club event, and it’s been wonderful to be able to actually know the people here that I’ve tried to assist. I want also, to thank you all for your support in my time on VLP Club’s page.

I hope all of you will stay in touch with me here, my Infield Parking nick is “Huckster_Ric”, and “HucksterRick” on VLP Club. I wish you all, and VLP Club all the best in the future, and again, this truly has been my honor and privilege to serve you.
