Hello my friend its Labor Day weekend and time for football and racing. In 1999, Penske Motorsports Inc. merged with International Speedway Corporation, bringing California Speedway into the ISC family of tracks. Beginning in 2004, California Speedway's 2-mile oval became the host of two Cup Series races each year, adding a Labor Day weekend event to its roster of activities. The track was renamed in February 2008. It is now called the Auto Club Speedway. 2007 Race Results Sprint Cup Series Sharp AQUOS 500 : Jimmie Johnson-09/02/07 Auto Club 500 : Matt Kenseth-02/25/07 Cup Historical Race Winners Nationwide Series Camping World 300 presented by RVs.com:Jeff Burton-09/01/07 Stater Bros. 300 : Matt Kenseth-02/24/07 Craftsman Truck Series San Bernardino County 200: Mike Skinner-02/23/07 Carl VS Kyle In the wake of last weekend's bump-and-run and post-race altercation at Bristol, is it going to get ugly between championship leaders Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards? We have a new rivalry in nascar!!! Have a great Labor Day weekend. eddie
Hey there! Sunday I went to the 4th Annual Hendrick Charity Ride. AND I met Rick Hendrick. It was awesome. Orange County Choppers made National Guard a chopper. There are so many details it's hard to get everything on just a few pics. Here are 2. Check out the M-16 on the left side and the bullets on the handlebars. On the tank are the wars the US has fought. Enjoy! Cindi
Hello my friend its time for Bristol Night Racing. Bristol is a legendary short track with a larger than life reputation. A lot of things make it unique, the high banks, all the grandstands surrounding the track, it sounds different than any other track. It is just a very special place. You realize it as_&__&_soon as you step foot in the place. You definitely know that you are at Bristol. Some tracks you go to and it is just another intermediate track with no real character to it. In case you've ever wondered why Bristol Motor Speedway packs more than 150,000 fans into a half-mile racetrack on a steamy Saturday night in August, you only have to look at a pair of "tag, you're it" incidents between Terry Labonte and Dale Earnhardt under the lights to understand a little of the intensity. In both 1995 and 1999, it was a hard-charging Earnhardt who rammed leader Labonte's rear bumper on the final lap. In the first instance, Labonte somehow skidded across the finish line first to win. In the second, it was Earnhardt who wound up in Victory Lane amid a chorus of boos, adding another chapter to his legend as the Intimidator. And it led to one of Earnhardt's greatest post-race quotes: "I wanted to rattle his cage." The last time Sprint Cup visited Bristol RCR finished 1st,2nd and 3rd. With Jeff Burton in 1st, Kevin Harvick in 2nd and Clint Bowyer in 3rd. Have a great weekend eddie
Hello my friend,I hope your week is going good. Johnny Benson shares the Craftsman Truck Series record for consecutive victories at three with four drivers: Mike Skinner, Ron Hornaday, Greg Biffle and Todd Bodine. He can break out of that select group and become the first driver to win four in a row tonight in the O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson,NO.#81 KOBALT TOOLS SILVERADO:“I’m excited.I got my start racing off-road trucks, so it’s going to be cool to be back in a truck. I’ve never driven one before. I’ve always wondered how they drive and what they’re about. Ron Hornaday,NO.#33 CAMPING WORLD SILVERADO:“Bristol is different with the new surface. It’s slower and has more aggressive banking than On the old surface, you could run on the bottom of the track through the turns. With the new surface, it opens the track up a little more. We’ll be on a new tire this year, one that we have never used in the NASCAR Truck Series. eddie
there. Okay.
Heeey guys!!!
What a great day it is today (not really).
Do you guys know what stinks about trying to sneak around your house at 12 in the morning?
Many things. Like, trying to make a sandwich. Who knew that opening a slice of cheese was sooo noisy!! Argh. & don't throw the silverware in the sink. You have to place it in
the sink...very carefully! Forget trying to get crushed ice from the fridge. Out of the question!!! That's what stinks about trying to sneak around your house after midnight, especially if the
'rents room is like RIGHT THERE. You know?!
...but... you know what stinks even more???
When your brother comes in at 2 in the morning!!
& there he is... USING THE MICROWAVE and everything!!
*scoffs*
Well, I could have done that!!
...if I wasn't too afraid of making too much noise & getting caught!!
*shakes fist*
MOVING ON, did any of you watch the Uneven Bars competition last night??
Was anyone else a little ticked off??
At the risk of sounding repetitive (like I care), UGH.
Some judges... just can't judge!
Just letting you know I am thinking of you and you are in my prayers,,Michigan will hopefully be that sweep we are all waiting on..amped up on 88 forever....
Thank you for the add - I wish there was some comforting word I could give you... Losing a parent is so very hard my mom's been gone 15 years this past May I still miss her but time has changed the intensity; that is the only way I can describe it. I pray that you are finding comfort in your memories of your dad and through friends and family. God bless, Jackie (xfrmd)
Hello my friend, well we are getting closer to the chase. Here are the winners in points paying races to date. With its wide banked turns and multiple grooves, Michigan International Speedway has a reputation for some great side-by-side racing. In fact, the first NASCAR event there in 1969 resulted in a last-lap battle between Cale Yarborough and LeeRoy Yarbrough, with Cale winning. But that combination can also result in a lack of caution flags. On three occasions, a Michigan race has gone the entire 400-mile distance without a break, the most recent coming in Dale Jarrett's dominating 1999 victory. eddie
Hey peeps!!
*sigh* I finished my books....
I wished they could've gone on forever...
but I wanted to finish reading them so I could know what happened...
Why can't I eat my cake & have it too??
Hmph.
Now I'll wait for the movie to come out in theaters so I can go see it.
Then I'll wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over & over & over & over & over again. lol.
So anyway, to cheer myself up (from the sadness that filled me when I read The End on the last page of Breaking Dawn ) I searched some quotes... funny ones, of course.
Who needs to be insightful right now?!
"You are very squishy.
So I shall name you squishy.
And you shall be my little squishy."
--Dory from Finding Nemo
"I'm obsessed with shoes. I must have hundreds of pairs. I'm a shoe fiend. That reminds me- I need to go shopping!" - Keira Knightley (lol. I'm a shoe fiend. & i do need to go
shopping...)
"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." --Mark Twain
"I'm the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be!." --Bret Hart (okay, this one's not funny per se, it made me laugh b/c he was saying he was the greatest and
I was saying... WHO ARE YOU? lol)
"I like the job. That's what I'll miss the most... I'm not sure anybody ever liked this as much as I've liked it." -- Bill Clinton (LOL! I wonder why... sorry. sorry. I couldn't stop
laughing)
"I want to rip out his heart and feed it to him. I want to kill people. I want to rip their stomachs out and eat their children." [on Lennox Lewis] -- Mike Tyson (back away. SLOOOWLY. back
away. hahaha)
"Marry Prince William? I would love that. After all, who wouldn't want to be a princess?" -- Britney Spears (wow. she lowered her stadards. by a lot. lol)
"It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up." -- Muhammad Ali
"Come on in, and try not to ruin everything by being you." -- As Good As It Gets
"First rule of leadership: everything is your fault." -- A Bug's Life
"I was in the hall. I know, because I was there." -- Clue
ahem... so that's it. I feel much better now. don't you??
Have a great Thursday!!
-D-
Hey there guys!!!
Ahem...... So...... sorry about not posting all weekend.
My sister's wedding was on Saturday so we had some relatives come in on Friday. Naturally, my room was offered up for them to sleep in. Heaven forbid my brother & his GF have to give
up his room. Noooo. We can't have that. (yeah, did you catch that. not a fan...) Well, anyway I wouldn't have minded (sort of) except for the computer being in my room and me not having
much access to it. At least I had my books. (I'm on the last one. Looks like I might finish it before the week is over. How saaaad. )
Soo... how was the race?? I mean, I watched it... okay, well, I had it on... but I didn't pay much attention to it after Dale Jr's pit stop... you know the one. I did see that huuuuge wreck
though. Daaaaaaaaaaaamn. Ouch.
Okay, I've gone on long enough.
Hope everyone has a great week!!!!
& Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Hello my friend Have a great weekend Watkins Glen is one of only two road courses on the NASCAR Cup schedule, and its also one of only two stops on the schedule where drivers have to make a right hand turn,in other words they go clockwise. The 2.45 mile racing circuit is very fast, twisting and challenging turns all with variable banking that ranges from 6 to 10 degrees. The frontstretch is a downhill plunge to a hard right hander, shortly followed by a charge uphill through a series of esses and out onto the long backstretch. NASCAR weekend at the Glen received a double shot-Zippo Manufacturing announced a three year extension of the Nationwide Series race, the Zippo 200.The Sprint Cup series is now known as The Centurion Boats at the Glen, another multi-year deal that goes through 2009. And lets not forget the truck race on the speed channel tonight.
Hiiii!
Yes, it's me! I'm posting!! Wow. I know.
Not much going on around here... so this comment is pretty rant-less.
Hope everyone has a great, fantastic weekend!!

Had a wonderful time and i loved the weather, it was hot during the day and at night,it was cool, but not cold. you were fine just sitting outside without a jacket. there were quite a few times where we all sat out on my aunts back porch and just talked,of course some of the nights we had wine also. I am a person who does not drink except for on special occasions like weddings and such, but hey i was enjoying myself and thats what counts. I took some pics,so i will post them when i get them onto my computer.

Hey Beth, I wanted to thank you for sharing your dad's story . You touched my heart I lost my Dad a year ago yesterday something a lot of people told me was he was proud of me. SIXTEEN REASONS WHY ALCOHOL SHOULD BE SERVED AT WORK...
1. It's an incentive to show up. 2. It leads to more honest communications. 3. It reduces complaints about low pay. 4. Employees tell management what they think, not what they want to hear. 5. It encourages car pooling. 6. Increase job satisfaction because if you have a bad job, you don't care. 7. It eliminates vacations because people would rather come to work. 8. It makes fellow employees look better. 9. It makes the cafeteria food taste better. 10. Bosses are more likely to hand out raises when they are wasted. 11. Salary negotiations are a lot more profitable. 12. Employees work later since there's no longer a need to relax at the bar.
13. It makes everyone more open with their ideas. 14. Eliminates the need for employees to get drunk on their lunch break. 15. Employees no longer need coffee to sober up. 16. Sitting "Bare Butt" on the copy machine will no longer be seen as "gross.
My heart goes out to you. I too am an avid Harley rider and an Jr fan. Your dad and I had been friends for a short while and I'm so saddened to hear about his death. I'll remember him and I'll keep posting on his site to honor his memory.
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
I think this weekend I have the house to myself!
How about a party???
ha. ha. ha. just kidding!
I'm way too tired to even think about that.
I think I just need to rent some movies, buy some popcorn, and get my blanket!
*sigh* that sounds kind of nice actually.
Anyways...Happy Thanksgiving!... er...
You know what I mean!
Thanks for the add, beth. I, too, wish I could've gotten to know your Dad better. He sounds like he was a really great guy just from reading the things that others have said about him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and the rest of your family during this difficult time.
