ABOUT ME
Introduction Hi All! My name is Ashley, Ash, or whatever but my most important name is MOM! I am a proud mom to a wonderful, 6-year old boy, Dillan! He is my life! He
was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, on November 4, 2006. It will be a day I never forget! It all began Friday, November 3, 2006. We were going to Dillan's first NASCAR
Race at Texas Motor Speedway. We checked into the hotel that night and about 4 AM on November 4th, Dillan woke up complaining that he was having a hard time breathing. After two unsuccessful
breathing treatments, we checked out of the hotel and went to the closest ER. It was there that a chest x-ray was taken and the doctor discovered a "mass" in Dillan's lung. After many tests including
a CAT Scan, PET Scan, MRI, and blood work, it was confirmed that it was neuroblastoma. I have been married for 13 years to Darrell! He is a huge racing fan! He has his own car, well actually in the
process of putting it back together. It is an IMCA modified. He LOVES racing! I don't even think I knew what it was until I started dating him but I either had to learn to love it or loathe it! I
still have both of those feelings. Depends on the day! He is so addicted to racing that we can be having a normal boring conversation about weather or whatever and all of a sudden he will start
talking about racing. I always wonder how each topic leads to racing but have yet to figure that out! My Nascar knowledge is limited but if I ever have questions then I just ask him. He says it is in
his blood and I believe it. He also passed that same blood to my son! Dillan wants to be a racecar driver when he grows up and I know that most little boys say that but with him, I believe it!

My hobbies Nascar, of course! I like all of them. Well, I respect all of them. I do have my favorites but what I really don't care for is when people talk bad about other drivers. Come on! Those drivers got
there for a reason. They are driving because people thought they were good enough. It is a lot easier to drive from the stands! You should respect every one of these men out there on that track
putting on a show for you, the fan! Don't disrespect them!
I also like reading a good book, usually something to do with history. I also have a passion for photography and really wish I could take some lessons to be even better. But the one thing that gets
me through life right now is scrapbooking! I jokingly but whole-heartedly say that Dillan takes chemotherapy and I have scrapbook therapy!
