ABOUT ME

Introduction

My name is Kellie, I have been married to a great guy named Gordon for 10 years, though we've been together for 15 years. We have 2 girls. One graduated last year and headed off to college and one is in her second year of college studying law. We have a Jack Russell named Harvard Maxwell "Harvey" for short. We enjoy NASCAR, golf, morel mushroom hunting, and bowling. These are photo's of my husband and myself, doing the things we like to do. In honor of my cousin, TroyTyo, who was turned up missing, Monday, Dec. 3rd, 2007. Troy was found murdered in his truck in an abandoned gravel pit on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. Rest in Peace Troy. Well, the funeral is over,my step mother, aunt & uncle & I were able to put some personal hard feelings to rest. Still a shame that it takes death to make it happen, but at least we can all put it behind us now. The community of Allegan has made me proud during the procession. Troy was taken to his final resting place atop Engine #11, with purple fabric taking the place of the fire hoses. The people lined the streets in front of their homes and on corners with hand made signs telling us that we were in their thoughts and prayers, people were standing in front of Perrigos, where Troy had worked, and with off duty firemen uniform at attention as we past the firestation It was "the" most honorable and amazing site I have ever seen in my life. I am glad that part is over, and we can begin to heal. The real tough part will be seeing what happens to those monsters. Thanks to all you IPer's who made this tragedy a part of your prayers. I began loving racing when my adoptive Dad would take me to the local track and we would watch Nascar on the weekends that we would spend together. Apparently it rubbed off, because when I was given my first chance to paint this race car in 1989, I took it!! I even managed to race a powderpuff race but didn't get to finish. Poor boy specials and what a blast!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my great family, I have 2 daughters. One is a Tony Stewart fan and the other is a Dale Jarrett fan.
The little guy below is our Jack Russell, Harvard "Harvey" Maxwell Greene.
BELOW IS AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT THAT I PUT OUT VIA EMAIL WHEN RICKY DECIDED TO LEAVE NASCAR ON NOVEMBER 9, 2005. To All of My Dear Friends; Below you will find some fantastic statistics on a great man in Nascar, his name is Ricky Rudd. (He is MY man). HE MADE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT LAST NIGHT THAT HE'S DONE RACING. I became a Nascar fan approximately 6 years ago. My first trip to a Nascar race was June 2001 at Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, Michigan, where my husband and I were invited by some great friends to stay with them for the weekend. Every aspect of being there was absolutely breathtaking, even if it was from the campfire at the next campsite over. I drank far too much that weekend, but when the sun came up that particular Sunday morning, little did I know, (or our poor friends that we were staying with), that that Fantastic Sunday morning would be the first day of being the Ricky Rudd fan that I am today. I woke to a beautiful sunshine coming through Brad and Nikki's pop up camper windows, a little groggy from the drinking, but in really good spirits. Misty and Tim are organizing something, what could it be? Well, it was the annual Nascar Pool for the June race at Michigan. They tell me to pick a card from the deck and it was the 2 of Clubs, the 2 stood for the qualifying car and where it started on that day. Jeff Gordon had the pole and Ricky Rudd was that number 2 man. The bonus to this was that no one had picked Jeff Gordon, yeah! So, we head to the track, it's a beautiful day, and the racing is great. Ricky is playing tag with Jeff Gordon the whole time, he keeps passing him in turn 2 and Jeff passes him back in turn 3 or 4, what an exciting time for my first Nascar race, it was just amazing. I lost my voice wayyyyyyy before the end of the race, but Ricky didn't win, he came in 2nd. But since no one had picked Jeff Gordon, I WON!!!!!! I won just enough to cover the price of my seat at the track and that was the beginning of my career with Ricky Rudd. What a great time it has been, he will be very much missed by this Nascar fan!!!!! I love ya Ricky!!! If you wish, you may look at some of his stats below, as he is "THE IRON MAN" !!! I am officially in MOURNING smiley smiley smiley smiley Kellie #21 Pretty sad huh? The stats are no longer attached, but the message is quite clear, I need my man Ricky, he's the bomb!!!!! It's going to be a great 2007!! But now I'll miss him from 2008 and on and on and on. I had a friend whom I used to work with at a local car dealership. He left the dealership and went to go work on race cars for a local guy who was trying to make it in the Busch Series in 2005. My buddy called me to see if I wanted to buy a race car, at first I thought he was talking die cast, but it was Ricky's old one from the Wood Brothers. I couldn't buy a race car, but just the thought of it was awesome. Anyhow, he invited me down to the shop to check out the car anyways, just because he knew what kind of fan I am. I was very excited. I took these photo's of that car plus another car that the team had purchased from 2 years before that belonged to the Wood Brothers plus some pics of myself with the car. I ended up talking them into letting me have the drivers window net. The first thing I did was smell it, I thought they would fall over laughing at me. They told me that I must have it BAD!!!!!!!! I ASSURED THEM THAT I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This picture below is one of my first races at MIS and my cool husband got me a scanner so I could listen to Fatback and Ricky talking during the race, friggin dig it man!!!!!!! My first year my husband got me a pit pass and I got lots of great pics.
These were some photo's from my second trip to the pits in 2003, as well as my second meeting with my man........

My hobbies This picture is a big group of our friends at Galesburg Speedway in 2001 and the winner of that race, Olson Racing!! This group of photo's are some great pics of our campsites since we have been racing.

These fine photo's are of MIS in August 2007. See any infield parkers????? I do.

I decided to go ahead and post my graphic for the race this weekend..but I am very sad for my GOOD friend Debbie (WvLuv4Jr)..I just finished talking to Debbie on the phone and she lost her step father this afternoon …he had a massive heart attack. One minute he was talking about hummingbirds and the next minute he was gone. I am a firm believer..live today as it was your last. We never know what is going to happen..always tell your love ones how you feel. Debbie and her Mom are doing the best they can..I started a thread under the IP FAMILY in the forums…please keep Debbie and her family in your thoughts and prayers. If you do not have Debbie as a friend..please post her a comment in the thread that I started. Thank you…sending hugs your way..Connie
