ABOUT ME

Introduction My name is Charlie Turner. For over seven years now I have been one of the co-hosts of ON PIT ROW, a syndicated, mostly NASCAR, radio show originating in the midwest. Though I have been a racing fan my whole life, I never planned on being in radio. We have had the opportunity to meet and chat with some terrific people ON PIT ROW. NASCAR folks are great. The show has spawned a couple blogs, Bench Racing with Steve and Charlie and the Fast Lap blog at Thunder Lounge, which I totally enjoy contributing to. Infield Parking is the first forum type endeavor that I have ever joined and I must admit , that I am a bit confused about how it all works. But it looks like fun. Oh, and I am a father of three mostly grown kids, grandfather of four keepers and lucky to be working in this racing/radio business with my best friend Steve. Now I need some Infield Parking friends.

My hobbies Aside from NASCAR and the radio show and blog, I am a fan of pretty much all sports. Big time Detroit Tiger fan. I share some season tickets. I play a little golf, have a black belt in the Japanese martial art of Aikido and am the owner of a rather large 1/64th scale slot car track. I do enjoy blogging, though I am new at it and still really a novice. But learning something new is a gas.

May your blessings be many,
In the new year.
May Christmas find you,
With plenty of cheer.
A holiday wish,
I now send forth.
To my friends,
And my fans,
I set a new course.
Please remember,
To NOT drink and drive!
So I will see you,
When we gather next time.
(C) 2007 K. A. Steffek

Happy Holidays to my friends and fans at Infield Parking!

I'm sorry I haven't commented lately, I've been very busy and by the time I sit down I am pooped. Next week is going to be just as busy if not more than this past week and top that off with trying to get the government to understand that I am permanently injured is not my idea of fun. Enjoy the rest of your weekend~ Antonette

Happy Halloween for Seniors

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know you are too old to trick or treat when:
10. You get winded from knocking on the door.
9. You have a kid chew the candy for you.
8. You ask for high fiber candy only.
7. When someone drops a candybar in your bag,you lose your balance and fall over.
6. People say "Great Boris Karloff mask"..and you`re not wearing a mask.
5. When the door opens, you yell "Trick or..." and can`t remember the rest....
4. By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders!
3. You have to carefully choose a costume that won`t dislodge your hairpiece.
2. You`re the only PowerRanger on the block with a walker....
And the number one reason why Seniors should NOT go Trick or Treating....

1. YOU KEEP HAVING TO GO HOME TO PEE
Happy Halloween!
