Hello my friend

The Allstate 400 at The Brickyard, introduced as the Brickyard 400
in 1994, is an annual 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup points race held
at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. The event,
when first held in 1994, marked the first race other than the
Indianapolis 500 to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
since 1916. Since the inaugural race, the Allstate 400 has become
NASCAR's most-attended event, drawing an estimated crowd of more
than 250,000 fans annually. It also has become NASCAR's second
highest paying race in dollars (behind the Daytona 500).

The term "Brickyard" is in reference to the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway's nickname. The course was paved in brick in 1909, and
they remain under the asphalt pavement to this day, with 3 feet
for the entire width of the track at the start/finish line.

Several NASCAR teams were invited to a one-day test session
at the speedway by track president Tony George in 1993, and
the inaugural Brickyard 400 was held one year later. In 1994.
Which Jeff Gordon won and Dale Earnhardt won in 1995

There are 14 races left in this 2008 Nationwide Series season,
but we could possibly know who the champion will be when the
checkered flag flies Saturday in the Kroger 200 at O'Reilly
Raceway Park.In seven of the past 11 the winner at ORP has
gone on to win the series title that same season.

While Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the most popular racetrack
in the Hoosier State, the vast majority of motorsports events
held in Indianapolis are held at O'Reilly Raceway Park,
including a NW Series race and a Craftsman Truck race.

Hello my friend
On November 2, 2007, a change in ownership was announced.
Bruton Smith, owner of Speedway Motorsports, Inc., announced
their purchase of NHIS for $340 million cash. The name of
the speedway changed to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Both
of its Sprint Cup dates will remain for the 2008 season.

The Lenox Industrial Tools 301 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
stock car race held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in
Loudon, New Hampshire. Organizers added an extra lap starting
in 2008 to signal the fact that the title sponsor, Lenox
Industrial Tools, "is looking for users and suppliers of
industrial tools that go the extra mile, whose jobs are
physically demanding, day after day, and still find time
to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way.
The race has been dubbed The Extra Mile at the Magic Mile.

NASCAR's Nationwide Series takes center stage at New Hampshire
Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 28 for the Camping
World 200. Always a top event on the circuit.

Memphis Motorsports Park will flip the switch Saturday night
on enough horsepower and star power to light up the night when
the track hosts the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200.
In a first-time promotion, Memphis Motorsports Park and the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series are rewarding four lucky race
fans with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be Honorary Pit
Crew Members this Saturday at the O’Reilly 200.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend

Michigan International Speedway is a two-mile, moderate-banked,
D-shaped superspeedway located off U.S. Highway 12 on more than
1,400 acres [1] near Brooklyn, in the scenic Irish Hills area of
southeastern Michigan. The track is used primarily for NASCAR
events. It is sometimes known as a "sister track" Texas World
Speedway, and was used as the basis of Auto Club Speedway. The
track is currently owned by International Speedway Corporation.
Michigan International Speedway is recognized as one of motorsports
premier facilities because of its wide racing surface and high
banking (to open-wheel standards; the 18-degree banking
is modest to stock car standards).

Michigan is now one of the fastest tracks in NASCAR due to its
wide, sweeping corners and long straightaways; typical qualifying
speeds are in excess of 190 mph and corner entry speeds easily
exceed 200 mph.

Opened in 2000, the 1.5-mile tri-oval Kentucky Speedway hosts four
race weekends a year, including the Busch/NW Series and Craftsman Trucks.
Carl Edwards became the first driver to win races at Kentucky in both
series when he won the 2005 Busch Series Meijer 300. He had previously
been to Victory Lane in the Truck Series in 2003.

The track has become one of the top tracks for testing Sprint Cup cars,
because of NASCAR's testing restrictions implemented in 2005. As a result
of the new testing restrictions, teams may only test at NASCAR-authorized
testing sessions at seven specific tracks on the Sprint Cup circuit.
As Kentucky is not a Sprint Cup venue, private testing of such cars
is permitted with no restrictions, and spectators are allowed to view
testing sessions from outside of turn three.

The three-year sponsorship deal for the Cool City Customs 200 will
extend through 2010. The sponsorship also makes Cool City Customs
the “Official Custom Bike Builder” of Michigan International Speedway.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races at MIS features some of the
best racing the series has to offer. With speeds exceeding 180 mph,
the NCTS has become quite a fan favorite since joining the MIS schedule
in 1999. Last June, Travis Kvapil made a late-race pass of Kyle Busch
to earn his second career truck win at the two-mile oval. With many
Sprint Cup regulars battling the seasoned veterans, the Cool City
Customs 200 will be a must-see event in 2008.

Happy Father's Day to all

Hello my friend

Pocono Raceway has a unique design. Each turn is modeled after
turns at 3 different tracks. Turn One (14 degree banking) was
modeled after the now defunct Trenton Speedway, Turn Two
(also known as "The Tunnel Turn") is like Indianapolis Motor
Speedway (8 degree banking), and Turn 3 (6 degree banking)
is similar to The Milwaukee Mile. It could be said to be a
tri-oval, but the turns are much more severe than those of
a more typical tri-oval such as Daytona and the track is
really nearly a triangle. They have been likened somewhat
to the hairpin-style turns of road courses. An additional
complication is that the three turns are not identical,
nor are any of the three straights identical in length.

Nashville Superspeedway, built in 2000, is one of only three
concrete tracks on the NASCAR circuit. The pavement, consisting
of 7,500 cubic yards of concrete, was placed full-width for the
entire length of the track by a concrete paving machine that was
specially constructed for this project.

The first Busch Series race was held in April 2001 with Greg Biffle
winning, and later that year the Craftsman Truck Series made its
debut at the 1.333-mile track when Scott Riggs won in August.

"The Sam's Town 400 may well be the biggest NASCAR Craftsman
Truck race of the season with perhaps the biggest crowd of the
truck race season," Gossage said. "And it is such an important
market. Sam's Town's sponsorship demonstrates how healthy the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is on the American sports scene."

Hello my friend

The California Speedway is a two-mile, low-banked,
D-shaped oval superspeedway in Fontana, California,
similar to its "sister track" Michigan International Speedway.

The facility is often used for television shows and commercials,
and for major films. In 2000, portions of Charlie's Angels were
filmed at the speedway and in 2004, portions of Herbie: Fully
Loaded were filmed there.

Kaiser Steel went out of business in 1983. Following that, the
site fell into such disrepair that it was used in the movie
The Terminator to portray a post-Apocalyptic world where men
and machines battled each other for supremacy and survival.

Hello my friend its another triple header weekend
Nextel Cup,Bush series and Craftsman trucks,we better enjoy.

Homestead-Miami Speedway is a race track in Homestead, Florida
southwest of Miami. It plays host to Ford Championship Weekend,
the final races of the season in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, Busch Series,
and the Craftsman Truck Series. These races are currently all sponsored
by Ford Motors, taking the names Ford 400, Ford 300, and Ford 200, respectively.

The speedway was constructed, with the efforts of promotor
Ralph Sanchez, as part of a plan to help Homestead rebound
after the devastation caused by Hurricane Andrew. Groundbreaking
began August 24, 1993, less than a year after the hurricane.
It opened in November 1995 with a NASCAR Busch Series race.

In 1996, track management attempted to correct the problems by
widening the aprons of the turns by as much as 24 feet. In the
summer of 1997, an $8.2 million reconfiguration project changed
the turns from a quad-oval to a traditional, continuous turn oval.

In 2003, the track was reconfigured once again. The turns were
changed from mostly flat to steep variable banking.Shortly afterwards,
lights were installed to allow night racing for the first time.
The renovations were praised by fans, and the track has produced
a number of close finishes, including 2005's last-lap battle between
Greg Biffle and Mark Martin.

Well the year 2007 of racing is almost over but we only have like 83 days
until racing starts a new year, oh what will it bring.I can't wait to see.
Have a great weekend my friend and stay in touch.

Hello my friend
Phoenix International Raceway, or just PIR, has a unique tri-oval
shape, with a curve in middle of its backstretch between turns two
and three, commonly referred to as "the dogleg". This exists because
the original builders were constrained by both the rocky hills
located on the property and their incorporation of an external
road course and dragstrip into PIR's design.

Ironically, stock car racing's top series, NASCAR's Cup, didn't
even run at PIR until 1988. Their inaugural race was won by the
late Alan Kulwicki, who debuted his Polish Victory Lap here after
taking the checkered flag.

Prior to construction of a tunnel under turn four in 2004-05,
the only access to the PIR's infield during events was via crossovers,
where the old external road course and dragstrip intersected the oval.
Once the tunnel was built, the crossovers were permanently sealed off.

Well we only have 2 races to go.This has been a year to remember.
The cold weather is here and so are the holidays which I love.
Before you know it,2008 Daytona will be here.
Have a great weekend my friend.

Hello my friend
Texas Motor Speedway was once considered the fastest
non-restrictor plate track on the NASCAR circuit,
with qualifying speeds in excess of 192 mph and
corner entry speeds over 200 mph.

Texas Motor Speedway's construction began in 1995.
The original configuration called for an unusual
dual banking system that had 24 degrees of banking
for stock cars and 8 degrees for open-wheel cars.

The speedway has been managed since its inception by
legendary racing promoter Eddie Gossage. His stance on
allowing fans to bring their own coolers, even in the
face of restrictive Texas laws that at one time prohibited
the speedway from selling alcohol as a result,
has made him a favorite of the fans.

On April 5, 1997, Mark Martin won the first NASCAR event
at TMS, a Busch Series event. Jeff Burton won the inaugural
Cup Series race in front of a sellout crowd on the next afternoon.

Brian Vickers holds the qualifying record at TMS. In 2006,
he posted a 196.235 mph speed. Elliott Sadler beat the record
before Brian, qualifying in the 49/50th spot. Being the last
person out on the track, Brian nipped Elliott Sadler's qualifying time.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend!!!

Atlanta Motor Speedway is a 1.54-mile quad-oval track with a
seating capacity of over 125,000. It opened in 1960 as a 1.5
mile standard oval. In 1994, 46 condominiums were built over
the northeastern side of the track. In 1997, to standardise
the track with Speedway Motorsports' other two 1.5 mile ovals,
the entire track was almost completely rebuilt. The frontstrech
and backstrech were swapped, and the configuration of the track
was changed from oval to quad-oval. The project made the track
one of the fastest in NASCAR cup racing.

For most of the 1990s and 2000s, the track boasted the highest
speeds on the NASCAR circuit, with a typical qualifying lap speed
of about 193 mph and a record lap speed of over 197 mph. In 2004
and 2005,the similarly designed Texas Motor Speedway saw slightly
faster qualifying times. NASCAR does not currently require restrictor
plates at Atlanta, which helped lead to the adoption of the track's
commercial slogan, "Real Racing. Real Fast."

The 1992 event marked the final race for Richard Petty, and
coincidentally, the debut for Jeff Gordon. With six drivers
eligible for the Winston Cup Championship, the race is widely
regarded as one of the greatest NASCAR races of all time.
Alan Kulwicki, who finished second in the race, edged out
Bill Elliott, the race winner, by leading one more lap in
the race. Kulwicki won the NASCAR Winston Cup title by a
then-record margin of only 10 points.

Have a great weekend

Hello my friend
Martinsville Speedway "Tough on Brakes"

Martinsville Speedway is an International Speedway Corporation-owned
NASCAR stock car racing track located in Martinsville, Virginia.
At 0.526 miles in length, it is the shortest track in the NASCAR
Nextel Cup Series.

The track was also one of the first paved
"speedways" in NASCAR, being built in 1947 by H. Clay Earles.
The track is often referred to as paper clip-shaped and is banked
only 12° in the turns. The combination of long straightaways and
flat, narrow turns makes hard braking going into turns and smooth
acceleration exiting turns a must.

Hello my friend
Lowe's Motor Speedway has the distinction of being the first
sports facility in America to offer year-round condominiums
overlooking the speedway in 1984.

Eight years later, Smith and Wheeler added a $1.7 million permanent
reflective lighting system, making Lowe's the first modern speedway
to host night racing. The revolutionary lighting process uses
mirrors to simulate daylight without glare, shadows or light poles.

In 2005, the surface of the circuit had started to wear from its
last paving in mid-1994, resulting in the track's treatment in a
diamond-grinding process to smooth out bumps. This process, known
as levigation, caused major tire problems during both NASCAR Nextel
Cup Series events there, with a record 22 cautions at the Coca-Cola 600

Featuring more than 20 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers battling the Busch
Series regulars, competitors in the Dollar General 300 on Friday night,
Oct.12, will be chasing $1,268,191 in posted prize money and awards,
an increase of $24,460 from last year.

This below is a panoramic view of Lowes Motor Speedway, very cool!!!
