Introduction

My hobbies For my birthday, September 2006, my hubby bought me a ticket for "Team Texas" to actually drive a racecar. I was so nervous the 1st few laps, but ended up kicking butt in 10 laps. I was the ONLY female in the group of 10 people and passed 5 cars on the track! How cool is that? My maximum speed topped out at 150 mph, so I didn't think that was too bad for a chick from Louisiana. I also have it on DVD so I can always pop it in and watch it! It was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to try it out.

I've been sick for a while with this thing that's been going around and can't seem to shake it. I've got to get better so I can get my Christmas shopping done. Went to the doctor yesterday and got a bunch of meds so maybe they will fix me up - fast. The weather here is sunny and 72 outside but it's supposed to start raining tomorrow and turning cold after that. Can't believe that race season is almost over. Sure hope Jr can stay in the top 10 so he can go to New York to celebrate his teammate's 3rd championship. Hopefully Jr will be celebrating his 1st championship next year! Take Care, Virginia

I have spent some quality time this week with my granddaughters who are out of school on break. They are 9 and 10 and spent a couple of nights with me. We played Uno, dominoes and Monopoly (Nascar version of course!) and went shopping today along with my Mother. While I need a job to pay my bills I'm thankful for this time in-between jobs to be able to do things like this and to have the time to spend with the ones I love. The weather has been beautiful this week. Fall is my favorite time of year!! Have a great Thursday and thanks for being my friend! Virginia
