Still kinda bored with no NASCAR to ignore (still a bit bitter). However, the Vols roll into Nashville tomorrow to tussle with my Commodores. Hope my boys are pumped and send 'em back to Knoxville with their tails between their legs. Not that their tails have been anywhere else this season. If not, it won't be the end of the world, we are bowl eligible for the first time in 26 yrs... ...as Monty Python says, "Always look on the bright side of life." I'm trying something new, it's called optimism. So far, I'm undecided on this premise but I'm pretty sure it's not going to work. Enjoy your weekend. -Vandy

However, if I hear that Toyota "Saved by zero" commercial one more time... I am not responsible for my actions. It is driving me insane, breaking me down, invading my dreams and SPEED channel doesn't seem to have any other commercials in their repertoire! Even my dogs are concerned about mine and their well being when it comes on TV. Shelby and Joliette run away but peek around the corner to watch with morbid curiosity. So far I have just pulled a bit of hair out...mine, not the dog's. Anyway, here's hoping for a Toyota commercial free, entertaining, Jeff Burton winning race! Enjoy! -Vandy

No worries on Friday about quals, no wondering just how bad the car is going to be when the green waves. No moving over for the 19 when you are faster than him and racing HIM for the lucky dog and he has only caught you because your team has told you to be nice and let lead lap cars pass before they have even caught you and you can't keep up your momentum... No more having to ask permission to pass the 9 when you are actually faster than him. (See, still a bit bitter towards GEM and the way they work.) No more condescending crew chief (who wears sissy sunglasses, saw 'em at Bristol) No more wondering who the spotter is going to be this week. No more being behind the 8 ball. What a relief it is, and that's just me. Pat seems to be doing pretty good as well. I really, really am enjoying my Fridays a lot more, Sundays I'm still tuned in to JB. I certainly was all drawn up at the end of the Charlotte race. Couldn't drink my Coca~Cola or work the mouse to turn off Raceview for the shaking. Guess I'm not used to running up front. The view up there is kinda nice. -Vandy
