ABOUT ME
Introduction I guess the best way to describe myself is just your typical southern girl. I love living in the country and consider myself blessed to have grown up learning how to climb trees, catch a fish, and play in the mud! LOL
I’ve been a NASCAR fan all my life and can remember watching races with my Daddy when I was just a little girl. Much to my dad’s annoyance, I was an Earnhardt fan from the get go! I think it was the car-- I LOVED that blue and yellow Wrangler car-- it was cool! When Dale Jr. started running in races that were actually televised, I was hooked. Here was a guy racing that was my age, could run the wheels off a car, and he was an Earnhardt to boot. I was a member of “Junior Nation” before there was such!
Believe it or not, I do actually like a few of the other drivers. Carl Edwards, Elliot Sadler, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart (SO glad he is moving back into a Chevy!), Mark Martin, and Brad Keselowski are some of the others that I enjoy watching race.
My hobbies I teach, so as is true with many teachers, I have very eclectic interests. I love to learn about new things and enjoy learning to do new things. I am an avid reader and will pick up anything with words on it to read for the most part! I am a total tech junkie and love to have all the latest gadgets and electronics though I tend to only keep the ones that are actually useful. Computers are one of my life’s essential elements! I teach computer applications so I literally am on a computer in one way or another pretty much my entire day. I also teach history classes when I get the chance. American history is by far my favorite, but I’ve also taught Mississippi history, World history, and an assortment of “ology” type classes. Some other things I play around with are gardening, writing, softball, and cooking.
