ABOUT ME

Introduction I love NASCAR because it's a family sport and I feel like I have a larger family now as a result. And, truthfully there is a tremedous sense of pride being at the racetrack and cheering the drivers, and even more when they win smiley

In a nutshell, I was born on Dale Earnhardt's birthday (4-29-1976) in the state of Texas. I have loved racing since I was little. Some of my friends can't understand my passion for the sport (some even call me a freak). That's why I am so grateful to be here. I have gone to the last four races here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you're ever here in Las Vegas during race weekend, check out our awesome Neon Garage. There is truly no better way of getting closer to the action........well, unless you're with NASCAR.

NASCAR gave me another reason to head back to my home state of Texas after 25 years. I was there in November of 2005 and can't wait to head back there for another race in my home state. I can't tell you what it was like to have my favorite drivers win on my "hometown" track. That's what it's like out here in Las Vegas too.

I am lucky in the fact I have a track in the town where I was born and one where I was raised. So, NASCAR is never very far from my life and is sort of my life, but I guess being born on the day I was, that makes sense, right?

It also made sense when I got my first car in June 2008. It's a 2008 Black Chevy Cobalt smiley it was only a month off the assembly line when I got it. My mom has a 1998 Black Chevy Lumina and I have my Cobalt. So, we are a Chevy driven family.

I have been lucky to make some great friends here and on myspace. Family and NASCAR is what I truly treasure in life. To me, they are one in the same. If you want to know more about me...checkout my "myspace" smiley

My hobbies NASCAR! NASCAR! NASCAR!!

I am a little hooked on the sport. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. There are some that say I love the sport too much, but they aren't NASCAR fans, so that shouldn't count? (should it?)

I enjoy spending quality time with my family & friends. That is my #1 priority.

I also enjoy chatting online with my friends, playing online at pogo.com, reading, crocheting (cause it gets cold here in the desert believe it or not), and writing my own stories which I have been doing since I was 12. Most of them now centering around NASCAR. Every year there is something exciting to write about.

Someday I would love to get my stories published, but right now, it's a hobby.

I also enjoy photography, which some of my pictures can be seen on my myspace and my chapter website. I am going to start posting some pictures here when I get the time. I like to let my pictures tell the story as opposed to writing something about an event or a place I have been.

Because of NASCAR I have taken well over 5000 pictures related to the sport. I didn't know that in one weekend I could get over 1500 pictures. I am quite grateful to FUJI for making an awesome digital camera (was that a sponsor plug?).

Another hobby I have no time for is--scrapbooking.

It started in 1996 when most of our older Las Vegas hotels were being imploded and I wanted to remember the Las Vegas I moved to in 1985. That can be one expensive hobby I have found (not to mention time consuming), which is why I am still "collecting" items and putting them in ziploc bags for now, lol smiley

I love to cook. Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American--I simply love cooking. I have served up my share of spaghetti dinners, 10 pound Lasganas, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, seafood dinners and some great BBQ chicken wings smiley

The list is endless.

Perhaps that's why I am not in the kitchen so much, lol. I cook way more than I need to.

I am so sorry I haven’t been around the last week or so…. I went on vacation with the family. We went to California, and boy was it fun! Now that I’m back, I wanted to stop by and say “hi” to all my friends. I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow; Indy should be great! I’m excited to see all the drivers gear up for the chase and to see where they all end up…. As always, I’m rooting for my man, Dale Jr! My new website is up and I have some new features both on that website and here at Infield Parking. My label’s been working hand-in-hand with Infield Parking to set up my new Infield Parking blog, so check it out when you get a chance. You ARE able POST on my Blog. This is a great way for us to interact. The label has also worked tirelessly to launch the pre-order contest – and I am very excited about an IP Member winning the NASCAR tickets! Visit me at... www.heatherwilkins.net/ipcontest ....... Or for my blog...... http://blogs.infieldparking.com/HWilkins

Thanks sweetpea, you have such a good heart. I appreciate the prayers, I just found out tonight I am getting pit passes to the TMS race! My cousin knows a left rear tire changer for one of the teams -- not sure which one yet but I don't care. PIT PASSES YEAH BUDDY! Hopefully it won't fall through.

For every race, Why Not? Change names of track and race name and ta-da Chapter Prayer!
Okay race fans tonight before you fall asleep remember to recite this (hopefully less cautions for Sunday):
Dear Lord
Protect our drivers as they put the pedal down and run inches from the wall for 500 miles @ LVMS.
Thanks for keeping our drivers fast, and safe, and Father God please give our boys some GRIP! GO 9!

Hope you like it girl see you tomorrow!

Hey Pres,
So your already at redline! At least you were blessed with good weather for waiting in line on the 17 wristbands. Gonna stop by the NASCAR Cafe tonight, what are you going to wear tonight so I can look out for you.
