IpModerator Based on what I've seen and heard the driver say about his car, I'm going to say that tonight will be Denny Hamlin's race.

As a backup I'll take Carl Edwards. The Roush cars are back in the mix and Carl looked good in the practices.

As a long shot ... Matt Kenseth.

IpModerator It would be absolutely ludicrous to even suggest that the #48 team is sandbagging as some NASCAR 'journalists' have.

How is being involved in a few accidents and, as of now running ninth in the points standings, sandbagging?

Once again the world of NASCAR on the internet shows us that anyone who can form sentences and type them can hang the handle of 'journalist' next to their name to raise their own self importance to undeserved, and in some cases laughable, levels.

There are many 'journalists' out there who need to learn the sport before hanging any title beside their names, much less the title of journalist.

Although still not formally locked into The Chase, anyone that has counted Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team out of title contention is sadly mistaken.

Look at the Cup drivers own dirt racing teams.

Stewart owns sprint, midget and late model teams. Clint Bowyer owns late model teams as does Bobby Labonte.

Kasey Kahne has three World of Outlaws sprint car teams.

Then look at those who came to NASCAR from successful dirt careers ... Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Kahne, Ryan Newman, David Reutimann, Bowyer, J.J. Yeley, etc.

I propose a charity race to benefit the NASCAR Foundation at a mile dirt track (DuQuoin, Syracuse, the Illinois State Fairgrounds) in Cup cars rather than late models.

I mean really. Who wouldn't want to see this with Cup cars and drivers ...

But then again, I'd rather go with Susan, lol. I can just hear hubby now... Who's driving that car? Why is everyone booing at that driver?

Of course I could always pretend I couldn't hear over the noise.

My hubby would be the same way,,,who's that, why did they do that, and, there's my man, Smoke, but he just calls him Tony and he's still pissed that he's not still Home Depot, No. 20! Now, how crazy is that please tell me! I tell him, they change alot after year's of who their Sponsor is and what no. they are! So, me and Ang for sure! We're tryin our damndest to make it to Charlotte in October! Can we take up a collection please,,,lol, just kiddin! Still, a good idea Stang! : D
