IpModerator Just look at all the excitement that surrounds
Tony Stewart's Prelude To The Dream race at
Eldora.
Look at the Cup drivers
own dirt racing teams.
Stewart
owns sprint, midget and late model teams. Clint
Bowyer owns late model teams as does Bobby
Labonte.
Kasey Kahne has three
World of Outlaws sprint car teams.
Then look at those who came to NASCAR from
successful dirt careers ... Stewart, Jeff
Gordon, Kahne, Ryan Newman, David Reutimann,
Bowyer, J.J. Yeley, etc.
I
propose a charity race to benefit the NASCAR
Foundation at a mile dirt track (DuQuoin,
Syracuse, the Illinois State Fairgrounds) in
Cup cars rather than late models.
I mean really. Who wouldn't want to see this
with Cup cars and drivers ...

angie88 Don't you just hate it when you're the only
NASCAR fan in the family? It can make going to
races a little tricky...thanks for the tip
Stang :)
But then again, I'd rather
go with Susan, lol. I can just hear hubby now...
Who's driving that car? Why is everyone booing
at that driver?
Of course I could
always pretend I couldn't hear over the noise.

IpModerator Most vehicles today have more than one
computer. (in fact, mine has three)
I'm pretty sure that the knock sensor you had
repaired previously goes through the ECM
(engine control module), and the other more
recent problems go through the BCM (body
control module) so the current issues may not be
related to the previous issues at all.
I
hope this helps and your problems get resolved
quickly.

IpModerator This year's Chase field up to this point reminds
the old horse racing adage, "When the money is
split between the favorites, bet on the
longshot."
Even though he is
ninth is the current standings, never count out
Jimmie. Remember that after Richmond the
points for the Chasers get reset, and depending
on what happens at Atlanta and Richmond the
standings could look a whole lot different
heading in New Hampshire.
Having
said all that, here's another little nugget to
chew on.
How will NASCAR's 'have
at it boys' policy affect things?
We already know that once the Chase gets
underway anyone not in the elite 12 has to drive
on pins and needles around the chosen few, but
now will NASCAR's new policy change all that? Or
will the rules and policies change as seems to so
often be the case when Chase time rolls
around.
I think this year's Chase
is going to be unlike any other we've seen thus
far.

Mustang5 Excellent points to ponder above.....
I guess we could say that Denny is the
Dark Horse, but the same could easily be said for
Kevin Harvick. Both have wins but have been
inconsistent throughout the season.
I haven't had the chance to go back over the
race results yet, but when making decisions on
who will grab the trophy and have the "Golden
Horseshoe" out of the twelve you need to cover
your bases on at least 8 tracks already run
throughout the season. Only Kansas and
Homestead lack in providing and race data and
the teams can't rely on last year's analysis
based on the spoiler replacing the wing this
season.
One thing that is
consistent, is JJ and Chad running races at the 8
Chase tracks and gleaning their information
and honing their skills and set-ups for the
upcoming championship.
Could
there be a 5-peat, you bet!
The
finale for this season is going to be a lot
fun,and I'm looking forward to seeing the
outcome...

weekend's PASS Super Late Models race, the ASA
Late Model King's Ransom 300 and the
confidently titled North Wilkesboro Speedway
Short Track Shootout, an event promoted and
attended by Bobby and Donnie Allison. With any
success this fall, McBride hopes to secure a
NASCAR K&N Pro East Series race in the near
future."
